Dr. David J. Thomson

Short Biography

David Thomson graduated from the univeristy of Surrey with Beng in Electronic

engineering with first class honours in 2004. Later that year he joined Professor Reed's

pioneering Silicon Photonics research group to study towards a Ph.D. His research

interests include photonic switching and modulation, the use of thin insulating layers in

photonic devices and defect engineering in photonic devices.
