Mr. Milan Milosevic
Short Biography
Milan Milosevic was born in Serbia in 1983. He received Dipl. Ing. degree from the Faculty of
Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia, in 2007, as the best student
in his generation at the Department of Physical Electronics. After graduation he continued to
work both on the theory of excitons in elliptical nanorings and on the stress theory in silicon
waveguides. In 2006, he was an internship student in Keihanna Technology Innovation
Center, OMRON Corporation, Kyoto, Japan, where he developed software package to predict
the error range of thin film thickness by using spectroscopic ellipsometer. From 2007 to 2008,
he was a collaborator on the Royal Society UK International Joint Project that Surrey has with
the University of Belgrade, which helped him to gain significant expertise in the field of Silicon
Photonics. In 2008, he received both Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS) and the
University of Surrey Research Scholarship award to pursue PhD studies at University of
Surrey, UK.
Research Interests
Milan’s current research interests encompass integrated optics, quantum optics and nanophotonic.
